Trying My Luck At oDesk

I was blog hopping last night when I came across Ms. Liz's site, Bloguardian Hellsite: Overcashed. It looks like she writes about her online money-making activities and since I also want to make my time online more productive and earn a few extra penny, I started reading her posts. It was then that I found out that she is connected with oDesk and it seems that she's been quite successful with her oDesk career. This was not the first time that I heard of oDesk, though; but it was her blog that actually motivated me, or should I say inspired me, to go ahead and sign up at oDesk and try my luck.

So I finally signed up at oDesk last night; however, it was just this morning that I was able to update my provider's profile, add the link to my blog, including the links to the articles that I have written. Prior to writing this post I was also able to take the Book Keeping exam which I was able to pass, though I haven't taken the oDesk Readiness Test yet. I am still not in the mood for much reading so I will probably take the Readiness Test later this evening.

I am still finding my way around oDesk and trying to familiarize myself with how things work, so I am not sure how soon I can apply for jobs. But I am planning to take this seriously; well, aside from the extra income, I also have hopes that my "online jobs" will be able to "neutralize" the frustrations that I am starting to feel with my regular job. Don't get me wrong. There's really nothing wrong with the job; it's the crab mentality of the people around me that frustrates me. I am hoping that in taking online jobs I'll be able to find fulfillment in my work without the need to worry about other people's ego. (Don't ask me why, I might end up ranting non-stop. Hehehehe...)

I really am not sure if my career with oDesk will be as fruitful as our other fellow bloggers, but there's no harm in trying, right? This might just prove to be one good opportunity that I should not miss...

Hi (I know your real name na! secret..) hehe!

Okay yang Odesk, I signed up there but I find it hard to get a job (for data entry) lang naman. Ang dami kasi dating kalaban na Pakistani at Indian ang baba ng rate nila $1 per work. Kaya tinamad na'ko mag-apply. Pero husband ko consistent sya sa $200-$300 a month. Extra lang nya yun at hindi full time. Rate kasi ng graphic artist $10 and above kaya okay.

Goodluck ha!

Hi, 3 months palang ako sa Odesk and basic transcription and data entry at first. Tyaga lang talaga and open for new kind of job, mukhang okay na rin. Madami naman sila that offers training so pede talaga kahit sideline and extra income. Hope you'll find good jobs that fits your skills. Nice blog..
