Holy Week Spent With My Other Family

Easter greetings
Before anything else, allow me to first wish you Happy Easter! I do hope everyone had a blessed Holy Week. As for me and my husband, we decided to spend the Holy Week with his family, which explains why I wasn't able to do much activities online. I took that opportunity to take a little break and enjoy my time with my husband's family so my activities online was limited to checking e-mails and checking some forum posts.

Luckily, on Holy Wednesday office hours was only up to 12 noon so we decided to go home to Tarlac after office. Manila to Tarlac is about 3 hours drive and I was already bored by the time we reached the end on the North Luzon Expressway and I was already thinking of ways to amuse myself.

As we entered the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX), a lady was stationed by the toll plaza and she was giving away free Bread Pans! Wow! At least we have something to munch while we were on the road! Heee Heee...

Even hubby was munching the free goodies while driving! Honestly, I was impressed by Oishi's effort to be of assistance to the motorists who were going to the province for the Holy Week, perhaps it was part of the company's commitment and social responsibility.

After we were done eating those free yummy Bread Pan, I decided to further amuse myself by taking a few photos...

effects of El Nino phenomenon

Everything turned brown! The effects of the El Nino phenomenon is very evident in this photo. Local crops will really suffer with this El Nino. By the way, this photo was taken while we were along SCTEX.

At the time we were expecting that a lot of people will be going to the province which will cause heavy traffic. But contrary to what we have expected, the road was not crowded. In fact, very few vehicles can be seen along the SCTEX.

But when we reached the Luisita exit, the line of vehicles paying for the toll fee was quite long and we had to wait for a few minutes for our turn.

Unlike some families who makes a grand vacation during the Holy Week, we just stayed at my in-laws' house and spent quality time with the family.

Tomorrow we get back to work again, but at least we were able to recharge for a few days right? (*winkz*)
