10th Anniversary Soon...

I’ll be celebrating my 10th year in government service a few weeks from now. How time flies…I haven’t even noticed that I have already spent 10 years of my life with the government. Although I sometimes find the paper-works on my table a little boring, looking closely at the life that I have as a civil servant, I realized that it is indeed an honor to be able to work in the government. Yes, people may have a “not-so-good” impression on some government officials and employees, but I tell you, there are still people in the government with high moral values (myself included…heeee heeee). In fact, in an effort to professionalize the Commission on Audit, applicants should be a Certified Public Accountant and an honor student to be considered for an entry level core position.

If you’re looking for jobs in the government, you must be “eligible” and to become one, you must take and pass the career service professional examination being given by the Civil Service Commission. However, you can also be “eligible” under RA 1080 if you are a licensed professional and under PD 907 if you were able to graduate with honors.

Honestly, working for the government and serving the public can be fulfilling and I believe that it not yet too late to change the kind of system that prevailed in some government offices.

Good for you that you've already spent 10 years of life serving the public. I don't have any luck looking for jobs in the government. Just pray that I could get one.

btw... if you want to follow me, you'll need to sign up again, as I've noticed people were having trouble following me, so I've deleted the old google connect!
