My husband and I have been dreaming of owning a Digital SLR camera and since the first quarter of this year we have been trying save for that. Somehow we feel that we’re so left behind and almost everyone now owns a DSLR except us. :) In fact, while I was at the MRT last Wednesday, I saw a college student take out a Canon EOS from her bag and she carried the camera on her hand as she got off the train at the MRT-North Station. Her actions gave me the impression that she wanted to show everyone that she owns a very expensive gadget without even thinking of the possibility that someone might be tempted to snatch her camera. They probably got the camera at a discount or probably they were able to take advantage of Black Friday deals, yet, she should still be careful in carrying such an expensive gadget in public places or when riding in public transportation. To me, it looks like the girl was not afraid to show off her expensive camera in a highly crowded place.
We are now on the “BER” months and we should be extra careful because robbery and petty crimes have a higher incidence rate during these months.

Same here sis! hub and I also love to own a DSLR, we were even tempted to buy one we went to HK, but as I read from a forum, it's not advisable to buy camera there. But somehow, I'm still having 2nd thought about owning one. Because I don't think it's safe to bring this kind of cam in public especially when we don't own a car yet. Kind of risky din kasi.
Dont worry i dont have DSLR also hahah, its true that bringing expensive gadgets in public is not safe now a days well ingat lang tayo palagi =)
tama! delikado talaga ang maglabas ng mamahiling gadget sa public places. lalo na sa panahon ngayon.
Yup, we should be very extra careful and watchful this holiday season.
