Government offices in Metro Manila were suspended this afternoon from 1:00 pm onwards per Memorandum Circular No. 17 issued by Malacanang as a result of the heavy rains brought by typhoon “Kabayan”. Thank God the rain has stopped later in the afternoon and the sky was already clear by the time we reached our place. Since we were home early, hubby and I thought of dropping by a local grocery store to pick a few items and have a lazy afternoon with my parents.
My Mom and Dad were taking a nap by the time we got home so hubby asked me to prepare the Champorado that we bought so that we could all have an afternoon snack once my parents wakes up. In no time, we were all at the dining table and enjoying the hot and yummy Champorado that I have prepared.
It was indeed a lazy afternoon spent at home and I can’t help but wish that hubby and I could have more time like this. Of course because of work and other social obligations our time at home is very limited, we normally just have the weekends to enjoy. Hence, non-working holidays and work suspensions are much appreciated. :)
