If you would remember, I made a post last July entitled Yakimix Get Together where I had the opportunity to spend sometime and bond with my former officemates. That as actually my first time to dine at Yakimix and if you have read my previous post, you would know that I was hesitant at first that it be the venue of our get together but my former officemates were so insistent so Yakimik won. It was a good thing that I conceded to their chosen venue because I immediately fell in love with the food!!! Unfortunately, most of them had to go back to their office so I wasn't able to get a taste of everything that was served.
Since then I have been wanting to go back to Yakimix but it was only about two weeks ago that hubby and I had the chance. It was actually a perfect timing because we were both able to get off the office earlier than usual so we decided to have dinner at Yakimix - Trinoma. We were lucky that the place wasn't too crowded by the time we arrived and we were able to get a table without the need to wait for hours.
For my first plate, I decided to have a few servings of fried rice, some mushrooms, veggies and pancit which has become my favorite.
Since it was hubby's first time at Yakimix and because he was still full from the afternoon snack that he had at the office, he decided to try the smokeless grill. For his plate, he chose to grill some sausages, a few pieces of bacon and some barbecue.
I also wanted to try the smokeless so I also got some sausages and a few slices of ham.
Will I say pass to the desserts? Definitely not! In fact I really love their strawberry and blueberry cheesecakes. Oh well, I also couldn't say no to a serving of leche flan so I had a plate full of desserts.
As I said, hubby was still full at the time so his food intake at Yakimix was very limited. The shy person that I am cannot go alone to the buffet table...In short, I wasn't able to eat everything I want for the second time on my second visit at Yakimix. So I promise myself that I will make up on my third visit at Yakimix.
Well, I didn't have to that long for the third visit because it happened only last weekend. Our friend's daughter was baptized at a church in Makati City last Saturday and the reception was held at Yakimix - Greenbelt. As soon as hubby read the invitation and learned that the reception would be at Yakimix, he knew that I will be so excited because he is very much aware that it has become my favorite restaurant.
As soon as I entered that place, I immediately reminded by Yakimix - Podium...Perhaps because of the similarity in the chandelier used...
Hubby had fun with the smokeless grill so a few items that he liked during our visit at Yakimix - Trinoma... Because of the "No Left Over" policy, hubby made sure that he chose only those that will be acceptable to his taste buds.
Again, how could my sweet tooth resist desserts? So there was my plate full of sweets! :)
Was I able to make up for my first and second Yakimix visits? Unfortunately not...There were still more food served that I didn't get to taste because we were so busy catching up with our friends. At the time, our discussions went from childhood memories, to family, to career and eventually going to business. We even discussed business lawyers raleigh nc because a friend of my husband wants to practice his profession as a corporate lawyer in the US.
So much for trying to make up for my Yakimix experience. At least there will always be something to look forward to and something to try on my next visit. One thing is sure though, I definitely love Yakimix and it is worth the price.
